In November 2025, I heard a radio feature about the Arctic Circle Tail and I knew immediately that I'm going to do it in 2026.
I wanted the option to do the southern route so I took provisions for 13 days. I also walked first to the Russel Glacier and back to Kangerlussuaq via the Ice Ridge Trail. It had been a dry winter and I had perfect sunny weather with only some hours of drizzle, therefore the track was mostly dry, not too boggy and perfect for camping.
With this good conditions I finished the 250km in 11 days and spent three days in Sisimiut, preparing meals with all the local produce I could find.
I was during the track completly offline, no books, no phone, no conversations, only a text message home to say that everything is alright. I saw about 10 people during these days.
